Why do my sims just not do the tasks i give them?

this is sooooo frustrating

i have a couple who just had a baby and this infant could be bawling its eyes out from being tired and i will constntly press put (name) to bed and it will get cancelled and then when they finally do it they immeadiently pull the kid out of bed, or if they are doing something completely unrelated then while the infant is sleeping they just come in take them out the bed put them on the floor and leave??????? like bruh i dont get it neither of them hate children or anyhting like that and it doesnt feel lke an autonomy thing it just seems like a glitch

    avapannava​ It has been like this for ages. I can't see them doing anything about it, it's a subject always appearing in the forums. At one point they said they fixed it but it isn't fixed. It is very frustrating sometimes. The worst one is when you are trying to feed the infant in the highchair and another sim comes and takes them out of the chair, then all the other sims come wanting to check the infant so they just end up all stood there doing nothing.
