What happens when the bug occurs? My Sim had a yellow protective suit in strangerville but was still obsessed. After 3 hours she recovered, but when I returned to San Myshuno, she was suddenly infected there, but the mother is not in this city. Is that the meaning?
What do you expect to see? She is protected in yellow costume, and the Sims are not infected outside of Strangerville.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.

If she's eaten the fruit, she's infected.
There's two stages: Infected and possessed. Once she eats the fruit, she gets infected and can then get possessed for any time for 3 hours. It does not matter in which world they live in.
Did they take the experimental vaccine or the finished one ?
You can check her trait list if she has the infected trait.
