I don't understand how it's going to work two completely different games and there are so many bugs as there is.

@Rae_Regenbogen
Oh, Joy...
Yet ANOTHER completely broken pack totally riddled with bugs.
Yeah, I am totally looking forward to it...
No, I can't even fake pretending to look forward to it. I'm totally not.
Just think about the chaos that will happen when the incoming pre-patch totally obliterates half the existing packs and content.
You think things are bad NOW?
My God, this is going to be horrible. I'm not going to end up playing Sims 4 for another YEAR yet because of everything getting broken and EA NOT PATCHING ANYTHING. I'm definitely gonna be giving this pack a miss

If it's a destination world I think it could be fun. Sort of like a GeekCon on steroids ;-D
I’d put real money on this pack causing Jabba-the-Hutt sized bugs for everyone, but Watto would be very proud of this blatant money grab. I love Star Wars, but this is NOT a Sims crossover I’m even remotely interested in. I’m disappointed, but disappointment is certainly not a new feeling with The Sims 4 so it’s nearly comical. But I guess we’re getting theme parks in the EA gimme-your-dollars-for-more-bugs way? 😂 👎

Yeah! A Star Wars theme, why not.
I also hope that the current issues with inventory bugs like the future cubes, clay and antistress potions and -lotions will be addressed in the pre patch update to come.
But I like to give my fantasy a boost too. Most of the droids I have seen, are derived from the bots I have seen in 'Student Life'. So why not make them ourselves?
The light sabers I already found in 'Get Famous' so why not use these? And of course the surroundings from that EP (Get Famous) can also be used. I agree with @RandomBuzziness that the destination and the new world could be really fun. Even the gameplay could be a joy.
Sorry @Rae_Regenbogen, but when the gameplay lets you down, nobody will force you to buy something you do not like. I see myself as a terrier and it will not withhold me to play. There are means to switch off certain EP's so why don't you try that route. By the way, did you buy all the Expansion Packs of The Sims 3? I did and I know a lot of gamers who also bought them all. We literally spent a fortune and a lot of us do not even touch the game anymore.
I just wonder if we can take our cats and dogs into this realm? And are they allowed to wear helmets? I am also curious how all the Expansion Packs will work together. Will my magicians and aliens feel at home and be able to do the things they usually do? Will the mermaids find a place to live on Outer Rim? As far as I have seen the reveal and the trailer it looks a lot like a holiday world and it seems to have some of the features we see in the Jungle of Selvadorada. All in all i still am curious enough to give it a go.
Well Hmm this must be an April fools joke. It's been a month now of non sims 4... I will not return to Sims 4 even for this. What no Yoda .... change is on the horizon as a gamer... truly hope it will include the manufacturing and coding back in the USA. Check out his speech last night.

They play on PS4 you can't just turn off ep or any packs you have to uninstall the whole game and download the ones you want it's not like pc also the games unplayable I know I own it on console crashes all the time so I know why they are upset.
Right. I play on PS4, but, yes, I DID buy all of the sims 3 packs that I played when I had a good pc (I also bought the PS3 packs for my sister, but I think it was only base and cats and dogs? I can’t remember). Also, I obviously don’t HAVE to buy anything from EA (my whole boycott point), but that doesn’t stop me from being bitter and complaining about a Star Wars pack (when we already have aliens and robots and grimy-looking build items) being released before they fix an unplayable game that I’ve spent over $600 on.

I thought it was a joke when I first saw it advertised on Origin. Or I thought it was like a separate thing, that it wasn't the GP that would be released this year, and that there would be a different one that didn't jump on the mainstream band wagon. There are literally dozens and dozens of Star Wars games already on all gaming platforms, and this is not what The Sims is all about! It's not supposed to have real life references like a movie franchise! It's supposed to give us our own world to create and do whatever we want. For example, the ROM GP, I'm sure 99.9% of people who bought it made Harry Potter characters, but they didn't release it as Harry Potter themed, it was just magic. This is just so off track of what The Sims has always been in the past. Like if you really want to bring in an outside crossover, make it a Stuff Pack and just have clothes and items. I know people are going to say that it's bringing in another world to go to or whatever, but the point is it's based off of a movie. The Sims doesn't need a Star Wars pack, what it needs is focusing on fixing bugs that have been around since it was created, and maybe listening to consumers about what we actually want. It doesn't even make sense; let's give them an off-the-grid theme first with Island Living, then with Eco Lifestyle, and finally with Nifty Knitting...and then for the GP let's give them Star Wars?? I know, I know "if it's not your thing then don't buy it", but we are entitled to voice our opinion. I think what really bothers me is I feel like EA is taking the game away from what it is intended to be. It's just so disappointing.
