Stuck Outside of Live Mode

So I opened up my sims after I deleted all of the sims I had and all it says to the right is "...Options" and then behind it "My Scenarios" (yes behind it, they are on top of each other). I can press either button but the options brings me no where. I am not sure how to make a new sim and whenever I try to go to manage worlds it tells me it isn't allowed in the mode im in and when I try to press another button on the menu it says its only allowed in live mode so I'm lost as to how it got there. Someone pls help! I already tried repairing the app so that isn't working.

    @missbrownn 

    Not sure if this will work since I don't see the buttons in either of your pics but try starting a new save if you can.  If successful, then try to see if you can load the old one.

    When you said you deleted all your sims, what exactly did you do?  Did you just delete them all in Manage Households?  

    Another thing you might try is to delete the localthumbcache file, the start the game.  That might bring the buttons back on the Main Menu.  Again, not sure if it will work.
