Tabs will not open

I cannot open any tabs for my teen sim unless I open the adult sims tabs first. When the simology tab does open for the teen you cannot scroll down, all the info is smashed into too small of a space. The manners, empathy, responsibility etc... traits keep increasing and decreasing constantly with glitched out blue squares instead of the normal animation. I cannot even open the exit game menu, I had to force quit my computer. Also within seconds of playing in live mode my best friend sims with max friendly relationship started insulting each other for no reason. All this was experienced within the first 5 minutes of game play. I do not have any custom content or mods at all. I have never had an update make my game completely unplayable like this before. I am severely disappointed with EA and I am certainly not about to give them another dime until this is fixed.
