Hei, problem, The bills cannot be paid & now all the power is cut off. I have tried traveling to another lot & returning. I have tried deleting the meilbox & SHIFT reseting sim and meilbox & and nothing. The sim makes an animation as if he is paying, but he doesn't, The money remains the same and the bill is unpaid, I tried the phone, computer, mailbox - doesn't work. Now the electricity is also turned off. The choice is there to pay (green) + Sim has money. But the payment doesn't go through. Im sad. Help.

Litch having this exact same issue rn and cant fix it, ive tried reopening and restarting my computer but still nope. guess ea will continue to break sims with every new pack relased :/

Same here.My active household can't pay bills either. Bills are in one of my Sims'inventory but there is no interaction to pay them. "Pay the bills" interaction is not showing on the mailbox, computer, phone or on the bills. I have to cook Ambrosia and I can't pay my bills to complete the rewards!And no, moving out or changing households are not working. I don't know if they are related but my Sims can't romance either. These two probles started at the same time.

Which mod did you use?I updated MCCC & Woohoo. I even set the "pay bills automatically" option to "enabled". But no, they are still not paid. After the update, I can click on "Pay the Bills" tab but it only says 111 simoleons. I paid 111 but the game still says I owe 111. And my power and water are still cut.I deleted my mailbox and a postman appeared right under it! I thought "Ok, she was stuck here, now I can pay my bills". No. This directly affects the gameplay. It's impossible to play the game withour power and water. This should be solved immediately!

I think I found the cause of the problem in my game, I'm not sure, but my logic says so - But I can't fix it, and it's probably not my fix, but needs Sims 4's team to fix!I discovered - that in my game, after the update, suddenly my cat was the one who had to pay the bills - aa fffing cat????? Why, how, I don't understand, I can't do anything related to the household such as paying bills, assigning a bed to a butler, etc. I can't use a cat for that!!!EA - What do I need to do - kill the cat? Or I don't understand???( There are so many problems in the game at the moment that it's terrible, I can't remember all of them.)Your Grim Reaper stuff doesn't work either - especially the Wednesday thing - never had any problems before that.HOW TO FIX IT ?????????Thank you!

@Louise250303 I didn't have to get rid of my cat, it's solved on its own. Right after my cat got the notification to pay the bills, it was back to normal again.

You may try sending your dog away and see if it works.

I'm having the same issue, but I don’t have any pets in my household. I have Eco installed and upgraded those parts, and my bill was 72 in green, meaning I was supposedly making money from utilities. But no matter how I try to pay through the computer, phone, or even having the physical bill in my Sim’s inventory, my Sim goes through the motions of paying, yet nothing happens. I’ve restarted everything and moved my household into a new house, but nothing helps. Now, all the power is shut off, and it's winter, so I guess my Sims are just going to freeze? There seems to be no way to pay the bills at all, making this game a dead end.
I have found no solution, so I just had to end that game and start a new household. Then just waiting for the next bug to ruin my fun. How can EA just suck so hard? They are really destroying a lifelong gameplay for me. Never seen so many issues since they came in.
