I am having problems with locations an sending my Sims to work. At the momentum my sims have normal jobs ( The Sims 4 - Find a Job ). However, I wondered, how a sim could become a doctor etc? Also, ...

@TheSims201000, Sims find work the same way whether the type of job is one you can follow your Sim to work , or one where they go without you. Just click on your computer or phone "Career' ==> "Find a job" and then it should give you a list of jobs to choose from. The jobs that you can follow your Sim to work (such as Get to Work's Doctor, Police Detective, or Scientist) should be at the top of the list. 😉 There will be a little icon of a briefcase with an arrow in a circle to indicate that this is a job where you can go with your Sim on his or her work day. Once selected, when it is time for your Sim to go to work, a message will pop up asking if you want to accompany them or send them alone. This is good if you have more than one household member in this kind of job. For example, I have a family with the wife as a police detective and the husband as a scientist. I just pick which Sim I want to accompany to work that day, and I can switch it the next time! 😎
As for town of Magnolia Promenade , it is like any other town in that you can't expand it. ☹️ You can demolish existing buildings so you can either make your own or download someone else's from the Gallery if you are playing on a PC. In towns like Oasis Springs and Willow Creek, you can do the same, and even change the lot type so that what was once a residential lot can now become a lot for a store, nightclub, park, gym, etc.🙂
My favorite career in Get to Work is the Scientist because there are several things you get to invent that are really powerful objects, like the cloning machine, along with others! :eahigh_file:
