The sims 4 Island similar to Sims 2 island?

Hi!
I was wondering if you were thinking of making a sims 4 expansion similar to the sims 2 island? I really liked that game mode but  I'm used to the sims 4 graphics. Please tell me you will.

    @xMaria81xI'm not sure if there was a Sims 2 Island? Are you referring to Bon Voyage? The Sims 3 had Island Paradise and The Sims 4 is Island Living. Depending what your referring too, as The Sims 4 broke up Bon Voyage estectic, Camping would be TS4 Outdoor Retreat, Snow would be TS4 Snowy Escape.

    But for Island, The TS4 Island Living similar to TS3 Island Paradise minus the resorts. Mermaids do come with the pack and does add a little more flavor to them than just swimming as TS3. Swimming animations are fluid, befriend a dolphin, and more customization per tails. (where's its just not like the female is a whimsical look and males get this dolphin looking tail. It always looked like a dolphin fin to me per TS3. LOL) I really liked the animation of their tail hanging out of the bathtub, that's a nice touch.

    You live on islands, and the main point to Sulini is the conservationist career which is tidying up the beaches, caring for the environment, and watching the progress unfold. Elementals are introduced, and new lot traits where you can live near an active volcano. I mean, It's unfortunate to add lot traits as Quake fault (city living) and active volcano...some bad luck. lol. Also...Boats and jet skiis! ^_^

    Personally, in real life I do my very best to care for environment as I can on my part. I don't use plastic straws anymore, recycle, and due to plastic bag ban where I live it prompts me to be active not to use paper bags and lean more to recyclable bag. I'm adding this as I give praise for Eco Lifestyle and Island Living to move towards an environment friendly lifestyle. I hit the ceiling when Eco Lifestyle and Island Living were coming out. Sulini has it's moments, but it's one of the main worlds I love living in because it's so, so beautiful. I hope this has aided your inquiry. Happy Simming.

  • Hello! Thanks for answering me. I was wrong with the name, sorry. I meant The Sims 2 Castaway. I would love a challenge like this on the sims 4, where the characters really have to work hard to be able to survive on an island.:-)

    @xMaria81x , I had Sims 2 Castaway on console!  🙌  I enjoyed it a lot!

    Unfortunately, nobody knows exactly what packs will come out until they officially announce it.  The closest we can do to guess beforehand is to either look for hints that the Sim Gurus sometimes give out (either in the game itself , like the toddler books that were about weather and dogs which hinted that we would get those things) or if a Sim Guru tweets a teaser hint.  The only other way to guess is to look at past versions of the Sims and see how they released packs and to try to think of what would be logical.  For example, most people assumed that we would get Seasons and University, since The Sims 2 an The Sims 3 also had these packs, and they were always well received.  However, packs like Eco Lifestyle and Star Wars Journey to Batuu were totally new additions to the Sims franchise, so you never can be totally sure! 😃

    The problem with a pack like Castaway is that it is more goal oriented and linear than other Sims packs.  The packs most like that are Journey to Batuu and Strangerville.  But these are anomalies to the series.  Take Strangerville, for example ... while many people enjoyed the mission , it doesn't offer much replayability. Also, many people who play the Sims play it because it is a sandbox where you can do anything, and that is difficult to fully do in a game or pack like Strangerville or Castaway.

    Finally, since we already have an island-themed pack in Island Living, I think it is doubtful that a Castaway pack would be added to the Sims 4 (especially since you can pretend that your Sim is a castaway by choosing the stranded pirate ship (from Island Living)to live in and that plot is Off-the-Grid, which simulates many of the aspects of being stranded, provided your Sim doesn't leave the lot. 😉
    However, I don't work for EA so this is just me trying to logically think of if it would be worth it or not to make a pack like this.  If we hadn't already had Island Living, then I would say that a Castaway pack would be more likely, but now I wouldn't think they would do it. ☹️

    In the meantime, have you ever tried one of the many Challenges that people make for the game.  There are several Off-the Grid challenges that can help you pretend that your Sim is stranded,.  There are other types of Challenges and Legacies as well! You can check some of them out here:
