The Sims's names is in English despite game being played in Norwegian

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? Norsk
How often does the bug occur? Often (50% - 99%)
What is your current game version number? 1.71.86.1020
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All expansions pack, Spooky Stuff, My First Pet Stuff
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Play the game in Norwegian and locate the Sims.
What happens when the bug occurs? The names of the Sims (which exists in The Sims 2) have English names even if the game is played in Norwegian, despite having different names if The Sims 2 is played in Norwegian.
What do you expect to see? When the game is played in Norwegian I expect to see Sims using names they had in Norwegian from The Sims 2.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure 

Here the names they had in Norwegian in The Sims 2.

Mortimer Goth, Bella Goth, Cassandra Goth, Alexander Goth, Nina Caliente, Dina Caliente, Bob Newbie and Betty Newbie had the same names in Norwegian in The Sims 2 as in English.

  • @Geirma This is currently the case for most (all ?) languages. Don't think it can be counted as a bug.

    Hopefully they can consider changing this :D

    @crinrict Yea, that's been bugging me for a while. Every time a new pack comes out, there's a slew of spawned sims with names that don't really "fit" with those neighborhoods.

    I know sims can travel in from other 'hoods, but it's quite a bit overboard. Maybe sims spawned to live in certain hoods can have names generated for those hoods?

    Like if Brindleton Bay is supposed to represent like Maine/USA, sims spawned there would have US names? If Mt. Komorebi is supposed to represent a Japanese town, sims there would have Japanese names?

    Just an idea. It might be a good idea to have different style towns representing different world locales, and have names generated like those used in those locales...

    If I knew how to contact the Norwegian translation team, I could tell them about the translation issues. In addition to the names, it is also translation issues not related to proper names.
