The Space Saving Desk Set Does Not Have Bookcase Options

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.60.54.1020
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Expansions: All Game Packs: Dine Out, Parenthood Stuff, Spa Day, Strangerville Packs: My First Pet Stuff, Perfect Patio Stuff
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Add the desk to the household and click on the desk.
What happens when the bug occurs? The menu for the bookcase does not appear.
What do you expect to see? A bookcase menu to appear.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. 1.60.54.1020

This seems like an oversight rather than a bug.  The desk does not have the bookshelf options that were added in the most recent patch.

    @canelacaliente  That object is a desk, not a bookcase and never had any bookcase options on it.  It has always been a desk.  The books on it are purely decorative.  The objects that got the new bookcase options were decorative until the options were added.  Mostly those objects were bookends with books in-between.  The books made up the majority of the objects and it sort of makes sense so they could be used in tiny houses and take up a lot less space than a regular bookcase.  I don't think that objects can have two sets of actions on them so in the case of the objects you are talking about, it has to be either a desk or a bookcase and can't be both.  The object you are talking about is not unique.  There are other objects that have books on them weren't changed either but the books are a very small part of the overall objects.  Not saying that I disagree with you at all but just that I doubt it will ever change because objects can usually only do one thing.

    The decorative objects didn't function like bookcases until the option was added.  That is what I am requesting for this object.

    This item makes sense to work as a bookcase and desk because it would take up less space in a tiny house.

    It doesn't need two sets of actions, it just needs one.  Desks don't have any actions.  Also in Tiny Living, stereo/bookcase/tv combinations were released.  Objects can have multiple sets of actions on them.

    I don't have all the game packs or stuff packs.  This is the only object that says it functions as a bookcase that does not have that function.  The object does seem unique because it is the only desk/bookcase combination.  What other objects are you referring to?
