This May Be a Seriously Dumb Question . . .

I need to know how to get the Lost Legacies event started.  I don't see the usual icon on the upper left of the screen when I enter my game. While I do appreciate it not being on the screen, it leaves me scratching my head. Just how are we supposed to enter into this gameplay? Please and thank you, in advance.
