time freezing and jumping

This started while playing on a save I use regularly out of nowhere. All of a sudden the time froze, then when I'd click double or ultra speed (I don't remember what it's called) it would jump to different times of day and freeze again. The sims were stuck on loop animations like head nodding and infant squirming in the crib. I also couldn't switch between sims. Then when I would try to exit to the main menu or go to manage worlds, it would get stuck on the loading screen. 

I don't currently have any mods installed, and I have all expansion and game packs, along with some stuff packs and kits. This is a new issue and persists even after closing and restarting the game, restarting my computer multiple times, and repairing the game. I am also running EA app on Mac.

    @graciesues Try creating a new user folder:

    1. Drag your whole Sims 4 folder from Document > Electronic Arts to your desktop.
    2. Launch Sims 4 and reset your Options.
    3. Start with New to test if your issue recurs in a new game.

    If that works, start putting old content back:

    1. Exit and copy files out of your old Saves folder into the new Saves folder. Important: Don't just copy the old folder! You want to use the newly created folders
    2. Launch Sims 4 and use Load to select an older save to test.


    If that works:

    1. Copy your old Tray files (this is your Library), Screenshots and Videos files.
    2. Copy back the file called UserSetting.ini
