tinkering at robotics station not counting towards daily task

(FIXED) turns out I just had to keep going until my sim was done at the station and then my task said "complete". It just wasn't doing the usual progress it says (just started, 25% done, 50% done ect)

I've just started the engineering career for the first time but I can't complete my daily task (I'm in rank 2 of career)

My task is to "tinker at robotics station" but whenever I do it, it does not progress my task. It stays on "not started" the entire time.

Does anyone know how I can fix this? Thanks

    I'm having this problem but when i finish the task it doesn't update

    I am having this issue currently. Even though my sim will finish working at the station it still doesn't update the task in the daily task box.

    @DiamondGrrlSometimes tinkering isn't enough. You could also try to make something on the robotics station. When you want to progress in this skill or career you will need a lot of Computer Chips and mechanisms. Best to start with them as early as possible. These objects will count as daily tasks too.
