Unable to place some items in build and buy

Since installing Life and Death I have found I have been unable to place some items in build and buy.  The only items I have noticed at the moment are trash cans and pet bowls.  Even a cemetery I dow...

After playing further I have discovered that items that wouldn't place will sometimes place after reloading the lot but then other things wont place.  Also, sometimes if trying to move an item already placed it just snaps back to it's original position when the mouse button is clicked to place it.  It's really ruining my game.
