Vampire aspirations

Question

So sorry I am Danish and don't know all the words in english. I have a bad mannered vampire, and wants to finish his aspiration to be Master Vampire. But the very last point keeps torturing me. He needs to stay in a vampire life for 20 days, without going out into the sunshine and avoiding all dangerous situations. After several days of gameplay I have succeeded to reach 7 days towards the 20. But the days will quickly count zero for no reason at all. I can't play another family, because when I get back the days are 0. And I can't find an explonation anywhere for what dangerous situations are. Any help, please?

@PoptartJuniper I really just needed to be very patient. It is contrary to my usual way of playing the Sims. I had to keep playing the same place, and keep him underground for 20 days, until I succeeded. So I think the issue is solved.
