Wall patterns applying to both sides of exterior wall

Hi, I'm new to the sims and need some help. I am trying to apply wall patterns to seperate sides of exterior walls but when I apply the wall pattern to one side it changes both, can someone tell me h...

@AlexHorton95  This ususlly happens for me when the  'room' of the house is not fully closed/enclosed. Try using the 'room' tool in Build/Buy mode and draw the room once again. Also look at your build from every corner, for any irregularity.
