Agree wholeheartedly. It also messes with gameplay. If you want to play with whims and fears on (because the mechanic is decent), your sims now have to achieve multiple base game things most days to avoid a fear of unfulfilled dreams. Leaving your sim no time to do pack specific things. The choice to rush this and ignore previous packs has literally limited gameplay for myself.

I find myself less interested in playing after this whole thing. I am still relatively new to Sims 4 and only started playing it because Sims 2 no longer works on my computer. I am now worried that future updates are going to farther damage the base game. I figure it is a good thing I didn't buy any expansion packs yet.
