@sirdayne I agree that it is strange that we don't have water bowls for our pets in the game. As someone who has had dogs all my life, this was confusing at first.😯 However, I think it was done to save space in the homes and make it easier to care for the pets. So I do appreciate the space saving aspect of only having a food dish. Your pets food and water needs are taken care of by just their food (they only drink the puddles so you can teach them not to, so as to add more to their training. But I have trained dogs in my game that never drink form puddles and they are just fine! 😅
So, while I wouldn't mind a water bowl, it isn't necessary for their health and it does save space, which is especially good for apartments and tiny homes! It does loose some realism though. - xochiquetzl_xkvn3 years agoSeasoned Ace
If you're able to use mods and cc, LittleMsSam has functional water bowls for pets.

- @showery_cook0 You'll find a link to LittleMsSam's site at https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/INFORMATION-Common-Game-Fixing-Mods-Hero-Approved/m-p/9836185#M224478 because she has so many "bugfix" mods.
