Thank you for your response, but I think you misunderstood my question b/c your response refers to "getting your stuff back" and it's not stuff that is going missing. It's Simoleons being randomly subtracted from the household funds in extremely large amounts just for Sims having conversations.
That said, I followed your steps - old file, repaired, new game, and still randomly when the Sims are chatting, the money just deducts.
@anadultsimmer by stuff I mean save games, screenshots, mods, etc and the such which will be gone in the game if you do the steps above.
To be sure, you just renamed the folder and started a new save and that still had the issue ? Nothing moved back (yet) (just making sure cause you're referring to old files)
Correct, yes. It took a min in the new save b/c it happens at random times.
Exactly. One minute they have 36k and the next it's 0. What really intrigues me is the specificity of the amount. It's not always the same amount. If they have over 100k, it may happen a few times before they get to 0...but that one Sim had 36117 and that's the EXACT amount it subtracted. It's generally thousands, so it's not subtracting $1 at a time until it gets there. Sometimes it will be $3000 or $20000. No real pattern to detect other than it only happens when they're chatting with someone. A single sim who lives alone doesn't have money subtracted when nobody is there.
