why are my pets embarassed?

I find it weird that my pets are embarassed, or at least thats what I think. They have the yellow color. I'm just curious, because I think there is no reason for that. I checked around the house and my cat hasnt done anything that could be 'embarassing', like peeing on the floor, or having low hygiene? and her litterbox is clean as well. but im just curious.

@jpkarlsen Probably something like "the pet is likely embarassed because.." or why does it get embarassed. Im just curious since ive been playing sims for around 2 years now (With the pets pack) and this is the first time my pets get embarassed

I don't think the colors on pets are the same emotions as on Sims. It's more the colors of the needs bars (plus the neutral grey).

Green - happy/fulfilled. I find it hard to maintain this without a lot of social interactions.

Grey - neutral. Your pet is fine.

Yellow - warning. A need is low or they're starting to get unhappy about something. Ask them what's wrong.

Red - very unhappy or sick. Ask them what's wrong immediately and handle quickly or they may run away.

If you have the playable pets mod or use the AllCheats mod, you can see their needs and moods. Pets do get moods! They’re tense during thunderstorms, for example. I’ve also had a pet get tense and I popped on the selectable pets toggle to see why, and was annoyed to find that it was “Cheered to death! (from being around a cheerful Sim).”

    Hrm.

I suspect that it’s a moodlet that’s intended for humans that has been inappropriately applied to a pet. It happens, but people usually don’t notice because pets aren’t selectable.

@xochiquetzl_xkvn I'm not entirely convinced that isn't a function of the mod, though. I don't believe my pets have ever been yellow without the "what's wrong" interaction available. Generally they're hungry, need the bathroom, or want pets. I may have seen the purple of fear as well, but never pink for playful, blue for confident, etc. And red doesn't always mean angry.

Though a not-intended-for-pets moodlet accidentally getting attached to a pet is entirely believable. So that's also possible. Maybe the cat walked in on someone in the bathroom!

I do not play with mods but my pets get embarrassed. I cheat their needs but the mood doesn’t go away. It is not the same as the mood for thunderstorms and there is no option to ask what’s wrong.
