The thing with NPCs has me kept wondering for ages as they often do not have the necessary skills to be in a career (or position) they are in to begin with. I see them sometimes walk on streets or step by to visit my home instead of going to school, university or work. I even doubt they can make ends meet or care for their families unless you play them actively. 🥳
@LonaBoom That's a rare find I'd say. I have never encountered really rich NPCs so far. 😃 Come to think of it, I wonder if it's possible to have a NPC max out on a career by mentoring/tutoring only (meaning without adding him/her to your household). I'm sure this would take forever as they never would go to work voluntary, but interesting to know if someone has tried this before.
@Japanic2012 It sure is possible to mentor or tutor a NPC to the highest skill. I am not sure if you will be able to let them max out on their careers.
Most of my sims have the responsible trait. They earned this through scouting, by doing task in the household etc. When they aged up to young adults they should be responsible and just go to work. But every time I get back to a family (sometimes I like to spy on them during the week) They are not working, kids are not going to school and the behave like normal Sims ( I.e. the eat quick meals, watch tv, play games or surf the web and only in rare occasions they do stuff connected to their character traits)
