@LonaBoom You will still be able to play Eliza (Delgato or Pancakes) and enroll her into any university. When you play a rotational game make sure that you only age the Sims household you play. In that case you have more control over the non-played households. I do not switch to another family during the semester. Because when i do so, the Sims in university will not pass their exams. Most of the time when i play a student i stick with them for the duration of their terms. I.e. three weeks. In that case I am sure of a graduation of my Sim and a better start in 'life'.
The same gameplay I use with my Sims education. I stick with them until the have A grades only then I will switch to an other household. This means that i let them work hard at school and do their homework and extra work when possible. The parents and other household members help the children with their school projects. I have bought a motion gaming mat for them to play games when they become stressed and need some fun.
In the end most of my adult Sims are able to mentor and some of them even have role model traits. This is very beneficial in the successful upbringing of their kids. Bear in mind that i have been playing some of these families from the early start in 2014. It takes a while but it sure brings some rewards.
Have fun playing. 😉
