Why Do Clumsy Sims Get Embarrassed By Chopstick Fumbling?

This is a little detail I noticed recently that bugs me a bit. The description of the Clumsy trait says that clumsy Sims laugh at failure instead of getting upset. And this is true. I've had clumsy Sims trip while exercising and get this playful moodlet that said something along the lines of "silly me." So why is it that, before clumsy Sims get the Chopstick Savvy trait, that they get embarrassed whenever they fumble with their chopsticks? Shouldn't they get that playful moodlet instead? I wasn't sure if this should go in Bug Reports, since this feels like more of an oversight, so I posted it here instead. I hope this gets changed in the future.

  • @The_Ratticator Hmmm... my guess is that it may be an oversight, but the difference may be that a clumsy sim has specific behaviors that they will do that other sims will not (like trip when exercising) and they are 'designed' to find that amusing or whatever reaction is part of the trait that is different/ special to a sim with that trait. 🙃

The chopsticks come with City Living, I believe, so the reactions to it/use of it has a specific set - all sims are clumsy with them at first then proud of them selves to master them. I think the same thing goes for their interaction with the heat in some of the City Living foods. Perhaps they didn't want to deprive any sims of these rewards for their persistence in acclimating to eating the new City Living foods - even if they are a clumsy sim. 🤔

On the other hand, I can definitely see having a funny reaction from a clumsy sim to using the chopsticks as a great & logical interactive action as well. I definitely see your point. 💡
