Sorry to resurrect this, but I'm having the same problem. It's now 2024. I made this account just to chime in.
I'm surprised others didn't have this issue. I can't find it anywhere else. My sims, a married couple, constantly do "Chat with..." or "Kiss" action if I don't pause and choose what they should do.
I'm aware that sims like to socialize. But this is getting very old. They'll forego yellow/red needs to "Chat With..." or "Kiss" and I don't know why? In prior versions of Sims 4 they'd go for other things like painting, piano, computer. Now it's hyperfixation on socialization.
This isn't mod issue either as it's been there before / after mods...
BTW: If you fixed it please share how. It's ruining my gameplay. I understand your frustration completely as it disrupts things (example: one sim is finally doing some other activity and they're interrupted by the other trying to "Chat With..." or "Kiss").
If anyone finds a way to resolve this, even if it's with a mod, please share! My sims are literally peeing themselves because they won't stop socializing. Even if I queue up actions for all of them, as soon as one of them is done with their queue, they immediately go socialize and disrupt the other sims' queues.
