My sims friend died in a fire he started on my lot and I wanted to ‘release his spirit to Netherworld’
However, after clicking the option to do so, he spawns on my lot and the urn still has the option to release him- but, when hovering over the option it mentions my sims name when before it didn’t mention a name at all?
Is there any way to fix this? I’ve tried reloading the game already.
I play on Xbox and this is my current issue. One of my sims died in game 2 days ago by a meteorite. The family mourned for 2 entirely miserable in- game days. The fourth day afterwards I see a floating yellowish figure in there kitchen and I freak out! It was so random. I never have ghosts around my family's. It was the deceased family member. I started looking online for ways to remove her but they were all for playable ghosts. My dead Sim isn't playable so I was really lost. I then saw the option to release to Netherworld and I was excited because they still have her tombstone on the lot. When I hovered over the option, it has the name of my living sims instead of the dead one. It's crazy because it's my dead sims tombstone but her name isn't showing up to release her to the netherworld.
I have been wondering about this, too. I was thinking maybe it was because my sim had previously died and has her own urn, and also she completed the Soul's Journey. I guess if it's not just an error in the name and it really truly was from the No Regrets Soul's Journey, it would say "Move onto the Great Beyond" instead. Not sure, I think I might try it anyways just to see what happens, if she transforms into a plumbob I'll have a quick heart attack and just reload the save lol
I just hope there is a fix to this. I was going to have my living Sim release her to the afterlife after verifying it was the dead sims tombstone but then I had the option to add her ghost to the household. Once I added the ghost it was easy.....peasy and quite breezy to get rid of her. I just went to manage households and deleted the ghost and viola! She is good and gone!
