Why does it take so long to write songs?

Question

Does anyone know the logic behind why it takes so long to write a song in the Sims 4? I know there is a mod to shorten it, but that doesn't help console users (I'm on PC).

If there is ever a band pack, which I hope there will be, I hope the time it takes to write songs will be addressed, and the frequency in which you can license them.

But I'm genuinely curious why it is this way when you can, for example, write a few books a day, paint several paintings a day, and become a global superstar within a week.

Or is this just an eternal mystery?

@gertie47 I've noticed that too, which is why I usually end up cheating the aspiration goal so I can skip doing that part. It's really not worth the effort for the simoleans you get for them either! lol

Yes, why does it take so long to write songs when writing an entire book takes less. It's weird. I'm hoping for a music pack too.
