Why does it take so long to write songs?

Does anyone know the logic behind why it takes so long to write a song in the Sims 4? I know there is a mod to shorten it, but that doesn't help console users (I'm on PC). If there is ever a band ...

Yes, why does it take so long to write songs when writing an entire book takes less. It's weird. I'm hoping for a music pack too.
