I’m having the same issue. I have a very high end gaming laptop so it should be able to handle the size of cc. I updated all of my mods. I haven’t updated my cc bc 9 times out of 10 they don’t have updated versions. But what concerns me is that my fiancé is having lag problems. He also has a high end gaming laptop, no mods or cc. This tells me it’s an issue with the update itself. Neither of us own the new EP bc I want this issue fixed first.
@candiecoatediv There are some CC items that were broken by the June 3 game patch. Something like this is not likely to be causing the lag but if any of your CC items were outdated by the patch it's probably not helping either. Here's a link with more details on that:
I use several mods in my game and about 300 CC items and I'm not currently having any lag problems. I have all the EP's except Get To Work and I'm patched up to the latest release. I'm not 100% certain but to me it seems like they made some changes to the game lighting in the June 3 patch and it's possible something like this could be causing problems with certain types of video cards. You might want to check out this Tech Report to see if this appears similar to the problem you are seeing in your game:
If so, perhaps you could post in that thread as higher numbers of replies should draw more attention from EA. Reading through it, I'm not seeing a fix yet but at least you can get an idea of what has already been tried.
