Why isn't there any grocery stores in the sims 4 game?

I would like to go to the grocery store and buy food for my house but there is no grocery stores in The Sims 4 game. Why is there not any stores, Schools, Cars, and everything else thats in The Sims ...

I know this is an old thread but for anyone looking for a fix for this: there are a lot of lots in the Gallery (usually parks) that have every plant. Download one of those, now you’ve got every plant without having to scour the world for them. It doesn’t fix things like needing fish or spices but it helps.
