why wont my sim eat a cowplants cake for the second time?

im doing a sims challenge and I had a sim I 'added to family' as in, I used cheats. I have four cowplants, if that matters. I had already had one other random sim eat the cake (and died) and my other...

In addition to what @SheriGR posted about Mods/CC, in regards to the amount of Sims in your household, if one of your Sims is pregnant, pregnant by Alien abduction,  or if one of your pets are pregnant, that will also take up additional spaces in the game preventing you from adding more Sims to your household.
