Why won't my sim shower or upgrade anything

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? i don't know
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? I have some custom content hair, clothes, accesories, face details, make up and shoes. I don't have any script mods and items for building.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? I don't know. My sim won't shower or upgrade anything.
What happens when the bug occurs? When I try to make my sim shower it shows the sign like a red cross and walking on her head. I thought maybe it is because the shower is cheap or isn't upgraded. I bought a new more expensive shower and it still didn't work. When I tried upgrading the shower it showed the same sign on her head. I am also new to this game so I may be doing something wrong but I have tried everything that I could think of. I have tried reseting my sim too.
What do you expect to see? I'm not sure if I understand this question right, but I hope that my sim will be able to shower or upgrade anything.

Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

    @Arieliixa Usually that comes up when their path to the entrance of the shower is blocked by something. A low-hanging ceiling lamp, or a towel rack against the wall next to the door...

    If you can't figure out what's blocking it, upload your house to the gallery and let us know. We can check it out for you.
