Will EA games EVER make it so Xbox and PC saves can be transferred?

All the comments from EA that I'm seeing are to "Look at it as an opportunity for a new start" but after hundreds of hours of gameplay, loads of money sunk into DLCs, and a lot of work to try to achieve some of the harder achievements, I quite frankly don't want a "new start" and it would seem that neither do a lot of your players. Honestly, that comment really just feels like you're spitting in our faces. That issue was brought up in 2017 and its now 2023. This is very frustrating and feels like a greedy tactic by the company. I spent all that time and money on your game and your answer is to what? To tell me to spend all that again? 6 years later without a new game and you can't even meet your players halfway.

  • @PrincessKaoru  Are you talking about saves or owned packs?  For saves, each console and the PC/Mac versions use entirely different file formats for saves, none of which can be read by the other platforms.  Changing that now would mean reprogramming the game, and it would also mean that older saves would no longer be compatible on the platform(s) where the save file format was changed.  I would guess that most players would object to their old saves becoming inaccessible.

As far as owned packs are concerned, it's just a question of money.  The console manufacturers take a cut of sales of any games released on their platforms, so EA would probably need to pay to allow PC users to play on XBox or Playstation.  That's never going to happen.  And EA wants its full share for the PC/Mac version, not the reduced portion it receives for console-based content.
