Will the Sims 4 ever have next gen console support?

So I'm playing on PS5, do you reckon EA will ever update the game enough to take advantage of the next gen abilities, faster load times, better graphics? Not sure how Xbox works but I imagine it's still one gen below the latest?

I don't know if EA will put next gen on console. If anything maybe the next gen Nintendo system as historically EA put games on all consoles at the same time. The fact that EA is just now putting MySims and MySims Kingdom on the Switch after that system has been out for 7 years and MySims is an old franchise. If they make money off this MySims bundle, they may bring back other spin-offs like Urbz and The Sims Bustin Out, but idk.

I have the same feeling too, but I'm going to remain hopeful, I bet at least some bugs would resolve themselves if they update the game to run on the latest tech. Just imagine a game with no more random T poses 🀣🀣

Sims 3 runs excellent on newer high-end PCs and the game is over 15 yrs old.

It would be amazing if they updated/ upgraded just to bring back Urbz and Sims Bustin Out.

DirectX 12 is supported by PC Windows 10, Xbox One/Series and PS4/5, so I imagine this could be the next step.

Fingers crossed, I bet the game would run a lot smoother for most of they did. Who knows maybe all these updates are getting us ready for it 🀞🏻

It would be nice but after just switching from ps4 to PS5 I noticed a huge difference and I think the game pretty much runs fine for me, I guess it could be a tad faster but I think it’s good and looks okay.

What I do wish is they made it a lot faster from starting the sims on the home screen to actually getting in game.  Some ps5 games do this really fast but sims takes ages to start up then you have to go through the menu then you have to load again etc.

Yes fair point I was just saying on answers HQ that I started playing Sims 4 when I got my PS5, brand new out box, and I used to suffer from the lag caused by switching from build/live mode. And being a builder I switch a lot so it got really tedious, especially knowing that lag is pretty much a thing of the last nowadays. But since the "lower memory usage" a few updates ago it's completely gone but I still here some people still suffer from it. :)
