would buying a steam version of a game affect the origin version

for context: i claimed the sims 4 when it was free for that one month and was looking into buying the steam version of the sims 4 seeing as i like having all of my games together on steam. however i ...

@eustacecs  I'm not sure what you're asking.  If you buy Sims 4 on Steam and want to install it, you'll need to link your Steam account to an Origin account before you can play.  An existing account works fine, or at least it should and usually does.
