‘The Sims 5’ hints of a massive multiplayer feature and new platforms *rumour*

From an Australian site this seems to be pure speculation if anything and not much that hasn't been discussed before so not really much in the way of a hint but possibly worth a read if it has not done the rounds already.

Worth to mention it seems that the 'multiplayer' hints here seem to be more on the writers own opinion and might not actually mean anything:

It's always pure speculation and I'm tired of people acting like "Somebody said something might happen if this happens!" is an actual fact.

Yeah with how they were going to try this MMO thing with the Sims 4 I am just tired of resources spent on failed online projects over the years. This would be their fifth attempt bringing online experience to Simmers. Even with the Sims Online the number of subscriptions was quite low, so it only fits a very small niche of the community that will actually play it. I know that is why the Sims 4 didn't get toddlers and still stuck with object babies and I rather not to through that again. Plus the Sims Online was 18+ so bye teenage Simmers if it is done.

I am hoping that lessons would have been learnt and TS5 would be designed as an actual Sims game and not something that has been recycled

  • Just another rumour but it has got me intrigued:

  • People excited for The Sims 5 should look up specifications of these next-gen consoles, coz my guess most sim 4 players will need to get new pc if don't want a console, if your pc can't run sims 4 on ultra it won't sims 5 even on low, need to realize that for next gen games min requirements will be 8 core 16 thread CPU and 2.4GB/s NVME SSD and over 10 teraflops GPU and recommended even higher coz they can't optimize for pc as much they can for consoles :o

I would not worry about that just yet. People still have time to update their PCs if they want to near the time.

I do think that in the long term modern PCs will be able to manage later releases as the jumps between advances are not quite as fast as they were ten to fifteen years ago

No idea. Is their a connection between medicine and The Sims that we have not picked up on yet? :D

I suspect the question is more, is there a connection between Sims 5 speculation and reality.

Well all we can do is just speculate at the moment. Something is going on behind the scenes but we are always the last to know :(
