Well to be fair, Mortimer's in his 40's, probably nearing his 50's. He was in Highschool back in the 90's or, if we're being generous here, possibly in the late 80's.
Also now that I think of it, back in highschool I remember having a mustache along with several other guys just because when you could KINDA grow facial hair when you're 14 or 15 you would just take advantage of it and grow it out to show off to your friends who can't even get decent peach fuzz.
