Dress them in their Cold wear and send them outdoors during a heat wave. Works best with Free Will off, though, or you must guard them. I think of this way as a heat stroke, that is probably not that uncommon. It works the other way around too, Warm outfit during a Freezing day makes them freeze to death, which might look a bit more harsh.
If you have UI Cheats mod, you can simply set their hunger to zero, which makes them fall to the ground immediately - probably no pain at all.
