I use it when Sims are sleeping, doing a task I don't feel like watching, or I'm waiting for a particular Sim to return home. Also when Sims are taking a long time to walk somewhere....
I should make an effort to use it less because as others have pointed out, I could be missing out on some details. :smiley:
