Great. but why has it taken this long? they shouldn't have to be told to be inclusive. I'm not going to sit here and praise them for something that should've been in the base game 6 YEARS AGO. If it wasn't for the BLM movement and the backlash they'd have never even bothered to do it.
Thanks but I'm bored.

I highly doubt they've been able to whip this up in the 5 months BLM has been at its peak.
I think they have and that’s what’s so annoying about it. If only there had been this sort of impetus throughout the game’s run.- I'm not patting EA/Maxis/Gurus on the back for something that should have be in the game when it came out 6 years ago. I'm happy they listened to this request although it should not have taken white influencers to amplify non-white influencers voices while there were protests over racial inequality during a pandemic to even get a response. I say this not to be the negative Nancy of the group, but so that we can remember what it took to get EA/Maxis/Gurus to even admit there was a problem and to be even a bit more transparent. Just because they are finally addressing one major problem with this version of The Sims it does not mean people should stop holding EA/Maxis/Gurus accountable for the pitfalls of Sims 4.

I honestly do not think they really tried until the protests and basically white influencers held their feet to the fire. Was it something on the list and randomly getting worked on over the years? Probably, as there was an update a few years ago that added those awful skin tone swatches, however they were forced to really focus on this particular task because of recent events."charmed4life4;c-17670868" wrote:

Therein lies the problem.
How many Game Changers are POC?"Grynn;c-17670875" wrote:

That is genuinely a good question and one I can not answer. I only watched Deli for years and then YouTube began pushing other white Simmers into my suggestions. I only found three POC YouTubers that play Sims 4 so far, but this is just after searching "Sims 4 lets plays" on YouTube. One is male and two are female.
Since the Sims has always stated it pushed for diversity for me it's just been disappointing to see how they really lack in this department."SilentKitty;c-17670623" wrote:
@Beardedgeek You know what, now I remember a thread just like that. Oh well, it can be difficult to track down the culprit-CC/mod but that is what you do every time there is a patch. Why I only update the game when there is a pack I really want and it has been out for a little while.
I pull my mods, update and concentrate on building or Sim creation until my must-have mods (MCCC, UI Cheats and now Meaningful Stories) are updated. The others I can live (and play) without for the most part but they're nice to have.- So happy about this. I'm all for diversity for the Sims franchise as a whole.
Some of the current bugs for Eco Lifestyle for those that want to hit me too, hope this directory helps. I know the site can be tough to navigate, so it is a struggle for playtesters too.

I actually LOL'd.
But I am extremely happy about this update. Can't wait to see all the make-up looks we'll be able to make with this. Been wanting a true dark red eyeshadow or a true dark orange one. Hopefully we'll be able to do stuff like this now!- ChadSims2Seasoned NoviceI really hope these 100 new skin tones are also for children and toddlers and babies will still be stuck with 3 so sad. Also I'm glad to see system requirements go up with the skin tones hopefully they this means they will be high quality all of the old skin tones were horrible not just the dark ones like some like to pretend.
