for me sims 2 was introduced to me in 9th grade, my brother had seen the commercial for the sims 2 nightlife and he thought it was a game of it's own. He got permission to get it and when he tried to install it it wouldn't and being confused he got my mom to help, it had been the first time we'd ever seen a pc game needing a base game to be installed. My mom ended up taking my brother back to the game shop and the cashier there explained it to us and was very understanding and exchanged my brother's sims 2 nightlife for the sims 2 deluxe edition. He played it for a bit with me watching over his shoulder and it annoyed him so he eventually let me play it and we shared the disk. It was love at first sight for me and I ended up playing it more than him and since it wasn't what he thought it was he let me buy it from him so he could use that money to get a new game. That's how I was introduced to Sims.
Now sims 3 came out just before I graduated from high school so my parents got it for me as a graduation gift. So I think sims 3 will always be memorable for me and my love for sims grew stronger.
and naturally I moved onto sims 4 but while the love is still there it feels distant but it's coming around.
Finally my most memorable sims family it would have to be a family i had during sims 2, I think their last name might of been Carter, I had the family for 12 generations with family branches, and i remember the 12 gen fondly cause it was the first time my sims ever gave birth to a set of twins and i was looking forward to going forward with the family as for some reason I was attached to the twins but than my game file got corrupt somehow and the family was lost but i remember it fondly cause it was the only family I had that lasted for 12 generation and it was before i knew about the legacy challenge.
