also, since you mentioned fishing, there are supposed to be about a dozen new fish, too. though i've only heard two named and seen pictures of a third one. as well as what appears to be a new seashell collection. that's likely where all their 'harvestables budget', so to speak, went
New fish, too! And, I've been looking forward to collecting all the seashells. I'd imagine there might be a few new fossils, and with the volcano, there should be new metals and crystals, as well.
