A Poll on Snow Depth

I think 'caring' is open to interpretation. I care about snow depth because it is more realistic but I don't care enough to let it prevent me from playing a game.

If so much as one snowflake should ever fall where I live, it would officially signify the start of the next Ice Age :p :p

Is the snow in your area enough to cause delays or cancel class? Or enough to cause an inconvenience? If that's a yes, I would categorise it as a lot.

If not, then I would vote for "not a lot of snow" (:

I live in The Netherlamds and even a small amount of snow is enough to throw all the traffic and public transport off :D. So that’s not quite a defining point.

Considering the poll: I don’t care and I don’t usually see much snow in winters. But for me, that’s not related.

That is quite insightful and I should have thought of that lol. Thank you. But I don't want to directly ask players if it is related or not.

I guess a better definition is, if the snow covers your shoes, it is a lot of snow.

I'm okay with the flat snow, because graphics contribute to my enjoyment of a game (any videogame, not just The Sims) to a very small percentage only. My minimum requirements when it comes to the visuals are met pretty quickly.

Why do you wish you had winters like in your childhood? What about it made it significant?

It can snow where I live, but it's always an event when it does. This year the snow went all crazy though. Blocked roads and snow days all over the place. The Beast from the East hit real hard.

I went from having snow maybe one day a year in the south side of Atlanta to my first “Are You Sure You Want to be Canadian?” Winter at -30, dragging a trolley through snow with a few inches of ice underneath it to bring home groceries.

I feel a lot less romantic about snow now.

There’s a lot more features in Seasons that it doesn’t really bother me now.
