See, I still don't think that works very well! I'm from the east coast and sometimes, the mayor would make us go to school even during a blizzard. But when I visited Georgia and it snowed barely enough to coat the ground, chaos ensued. Cars were piling up on the highways, people were pouring table salt onto their sidewalks (lol..), and everything got shut down. They had no idea how to function.

I would say I'm someone who is used to the snow. Winter is also my favorite season and I love the snow. But I don't think it relates to me wanting deep snow in the game. For example, I can't stand summer whatsoever, but I wouldn't want something like heatwaves to be left out.

I don't really care. As long as there are some details to give it the appearance of snow and winter as well as have a lot of things to do in game, I am not that concerned (in fact, I am kind of glad as Seasons tend to be the one expansion that really can cause lagging and routing issues, so I can see why they don't have it). To me it is just more for aesthetics then actual game play.

Also I rarely see snow in real life (much less really deep snow), I am just glad it can snow at all in the game.

I've always loved watching snow fall more then I've cared about how much was on the ground so I guess that's why I'm not that bothered with the lack of depth in the game

I'm from the UK so TS4 snow actually looks like a lot to me lol. It covers the whole ground and everything!

To me, it's such an inconsequential, insignficant thing to get all up in a lather about. So the snow doesn't come up to my Sims ankles. Big whoop. I'll just take my holidays, calendars, awesome 3D weather and lighting effects, and plenty of new activities instead.

Can't really vote because I live in an area that is between "barely any snow" and "gets a lot of snow." We don't get snow frequently, and sometimes it's just a dusting. But occasionally, it's up to a foot of snow. No matter what, more than half an inch around here amounts to school closures. Anyway, I don't care about snow depth that much, but I'll have to see how it is in game. What I've seen from the glimpses and teasers we've seen looks great so far, even without any depth.

I haven't lived in an area where it snows (more than flurries that don't stick) in a long time. I don't think I'd like to at this point in my life.. the thought of it is even scary to me. When I was little and lived in Maine I remember the snow being over my head ... but I don't remember playing out in it for long. I remember the excitement of first snow though lol.
I want Seasons for stories and the more imaginary and fanciful images of Winter. The movies I've seen and stories I grew up with. They don't have to be realistic too me as I like my sims to be active and outside much of the time. The snow depth means little to me as long as it looks good.

I live in the Caribbean and I've always loved snow since I don't have to contend with it...Matter of fact I never mind traveling during winter months because I love experiencing snow that much so when it was revealed there would be no snow depth I was disappointed - until I thought more on Grant's explanation about the choices they made. The snow still looks lovely in the Holiday Trailer, and the features of the pack seem really immersive, so I'm over my initial disappointment.

It doesn't snow here often, but when it does we normally get a few inches and it closes everything down. I don't care about the snow depth because snow isn't what represents winter to me, our winters tend to be really cold and very overcast grey skies, so if that is represented in the game then that will make winter worthwhile for me.
