A question about between semesters

When a sim is going for their degree, the game has it broken up in semesters. When a semester is completed the game will ask something about starting up for the next semester. What I want to know is let's say a sim has a few of their credits completed. Can a sim leave school for a while to do other things, and then later start back up their college classes again?

The reason I'm asking is I would like for my sim, for example, start a semester, complete that first group, and then take a jungle adventure. Then after the jungle adventure is completed, go back to college and pick back up on their studies. Is this possible without losing out on anything involving their completed courses?

    I'm just verifying that yes, you can take a break between the semesters. I had a sim take a week off in the summer to visit his family and go camping in Granite Falls. I had him reapply for scholarships when he returned to school.

    I think it is one way to deal with large holidays like Harvestfest and Winterfest. Real students typically have holiday breaks.

    One caveat - if you have scholarships you will need to reapply for them before starting a new term. They only carry over if your sim re-enrolls immediately. On the bright side you may be able to apply for additional ones (although I think you can try that any time).

    Just wanted to add that the holiday menu at the cafeteria depends on the holiday. It doesn't just offer turkey. For example, if the holiday has 'baking' as a tradition there might be cupcakes on the menu. If it's drinking, the special menu offers drinks, etc.

    I just want to know how you're able to purchase and place a Christmas Tree when Build/Buy mode is inaccessible on campus? Is you Sim allowed to keep one in their personal inventory or something? I noticed very few items can be placed there, is why I ask.

    I so glad this is possible, because both ME and my sim (god bless her) need a whole week off. Being a college student is rough ??
