That's always been the design of this game, it's not something introduced to this pack, tho? Anything that stands on a wall shelve will disappear once you put the walls down. All those shelves that disappear are in the wall selves category (or you wouldn't be able to have it both ways, have them on the floor and move them on the wall without MOO)
What I find annoying is when the objects get stuck like that painting, on the half-half situation and blocks the view, plus it's a bit annoying because I always think that it sticks like sore thumb. (so I actively avoid placing objects in the way that will result in that.)
But these are on the floor, so I didn't expect that. I know wall items disappear with walls down or walls cutaway when there's a room behind it. But I most certainly didn't expect it to disappear when they're on the floor. I also didn't know they were considered wall items sense I was in the show all section and had just the pack selected.
I purposely hang paintings like that so I can see the painting. If the cutaway wall hides a painting I leave the wall empty.
If you don't mind the change in the design, there are Awestruck Eric and The Simply Square End Table, both will snap and have similar result, without disappearing the way the The Acute Double Drawer Shelf does.
As for the paintings even looking at that picture and seeing things hanging in mid air makes me want to remove them. I don't have OCD, but it's almost feel like it :D
Thanks for the names of those floor pieces that don't disappear. I know how it is with things that can bug you in a game. For instance, I read a really great comment about Fallout 4. Someone took Preston to court and he gave them a settlement. :D
