A question for cottage living players

I wish I could answer that for you. But I don't and haven't given any cows or chickens something to turn the flavor or color of milk or eggs. I do give them treats upon occasion, such as to make them happy and therefore more receptive of my Sims' offers of friendship. Perhaps, someone else who has tried these will come along and have an answer for you. I only stopped to make a few remarks, as I get dismayed at seeing how many have read a thread but no responses.

I don't know why but I actually like that they're a bit more difficult to come by. Makes them all the more special.

you need golden hen to get golden eggs
it doesn't always lay golden eggs i think but most of the time yes if ur treating it nice

and golden hen stays golden until its death

same goes for midnight treat and evil hens

for cows and llama its just one "harvest" I think

you can always get/make more treats though they're quite easy to come by

In the case of milk, I don’t mind because I still want some regular milk to use in recipes. The ratio would be better if it was split even 3 special / 3 regular, though.

I think it would be way better if we got the entire batch of special wool colors. it doesn’t make sense that only some of it would be dyed, looking at the llama.

With chickens, sometimes I do get too many golden eggs so I try to add regular hens if mine have all gone golden.
