A Sims 5 in The Cloud in the future? Cloud gaming coming- official.

Look below here. No mention of A Sims 5 but I expect it would come this way. EA are looking for testers for 4 games to start with. It could mean that a Sims 5 game could become enormous but still playable on lower spec. machines.

"The bottom line is this. Cloud gaming is coming. It’s no longer a question of if, but when. It’s still really early days but we’re excited to take this next step in our learning, and it’s great to be able to do it with some of you in our community. This is about enhancing the quality of our games and services for a cloud powered future. So if there is an opportunity to elevate the experience and inspire more people to play, we are going to explore it."
  • I'm hoping cloud service will come to The Sims 4. Cloud saves would be so much easier especially if your game crashes and you didn't save. I'm assuming it would automatically save in the cloud.

@Pamtastic72 Thanks for explaining. Gosh I don't like the sound of that.

Me either because if you have to pay like monthly and you hit a bad financial patch and can’t pay or should EA go out of business (not probable but possible) you lose access to your games.

    Cloud service should be free.

Some people believe they're trying to attach our brains to the cloud, so we shall see.

I expect climate change or an asteroid will get us first. NASA missed an asteroid the size of a football field that passed nearby in April. I expect there will be time for Grant's Sims 4 Apocalypse that he mentioned on Twitter a little while ago!
  • An apocalypse pack could be great fun, as long as the damage was either restricted to one world, OR, could be toggled when you don't always want to play The Road.

I've said it before and I'll say it again; I do not believe in Sims 5

    Cloud Gaming means

    • Same game for everybody (PC, console and mobile), no need to develop 3 times the same game
    • Play everywhere (as long as there is internet)
    • High quality graphic settings no matter your device
    • Good performances no matter your device

It's less about us worrying if TS5 is going on cloud and more about if EAxis would fill it with surprise mechanics and some other crap on the way to making it a cloud game

So it's very similar to how Origin is, no? Obviously, you have to download games from Origin, but it seems to be very similar to it, otherwise (At least to me).

To me its just another way for EA to check up on everything you do on the internet , They already try to find out what games you play and when , Thats the reason they say add your games to origin , so they can see what else you play and for how long and how much you spend on games ,
