Inclusivity is nice and all but it was never made this much of a big deal when the Sims 1, 2 and 3 were the current games and nobody complained, they just got on with playing the games.
The more the developers try to be inclusive the more they make others feel alienated or left out and before we know it all we will have is a game with hundreds of useless items and terrible game play. It's already heading that way. They focus so much on providing items, clothes and other things in the name of inclusivity that the game play is suffering for it.
I agree, too. Even though I play an 18th century game save wherein The Nations would and did come into play, I have to rely on my own CAS abilities and some research to have what I want in my game. It is difficult. I also have a very hard time grasping this "new-fangled" notion of inclusivity. No matter how hard you try, somebody always gets left out. I also play this game to escape what RL throws at me.
