I miss the days when the sims was JUST A GAME, that's it. I wonder if other games, where you create characters, get this much backlash from players because this or that was left out.
I think that The Sims, should be, and should have always been, fictional ...... fictional worlds, fictional cultures, fictional races.
Then you would not have this massive amount of discontent between players. Why do they have to fashion worlds after RL places? They are not creative enough to dream up a unique world?
I mean there's no possible way they could ever win the game of "inclusivity".
I'm 5 foot 1 inches tall in RL, there is absolutely no way I can be represented in the game, my skin tone is NOT in the game, I'm a dirty blonde with fair skin, but the hair swatches look nothing like mine, nor do the skin tones. I just deal with it, use the least ugly blonde shade and go with a lighter tan skin tone (because the pale ones are just hideous ....... yellow jaundiced looking or pig pink).
So yeah, just give me back the days when the game was just a game!
