A way to sell items from inventory to a store or mod that has that feature?

I was wondering if anybody knows if there is a way to sell items from your inventory to a shop, much like the consignment shop in Sims 3? Right now its just drag and drop, but it feels so hollow do...

Is there a mod that changes the appearance of the yard sale table, I'd love something more basic medieval looking. I suppose just removing some of the assets under the table as it is, would be enough. How hard would that be?
